http://www.imflorinas.gr Most Rev. Theokletos, Metropolitan of Florina, Prespes and Eordaia (secular name Thomas Passalis), was born in 1932 in Kyparission, Grevena. He studied Theology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He was tonsured monk in 1967 in the Holy Monastery of the Dormition of the Mother of God (“Theotokos”) at Kladorahi, Florina. In the same year he was ordained deacon and in 1968 Presbyter, having been awarded the office of Archimandrite on the same day. For over 32 years he ministered as Protosyngellos of his respective Metropolis and for over 20 years as deputy director and teacher pro bono at the Ecclesiastic High School of Florina. He developed a multifarious activity as preacher of the Word of God and author of numerous articles, while delivering hundreds of lectures on the subject of Macedonia and its Saints. He was elected Metropolitan in 2000.
