The Archbishop appeared conciliatory on Justice Ministry’s bill on couples. Mr Ieronymos was briefed by Mr Hatzigakis on the issue. From his side, Mr Hatzigakis described the draft bill on free cohabitation social, stressing that it is not affecting the families and the Church. Instead it protects women and children out of marriage. He also clarified that it concerns only heterosexual couples. The minister added that the bill would include provisions that will allow divorces to be issued in half of the present time, facilitating in parallel adoption.
